In late April, Czech automaker Škoda held the pre-launch for its newest model, the Karoq, at Vihula Manor Country Club & SPA marking the first event of its type to take place in Estonia. Selected international journalists in attendance were given the opportunity to see the new SUV for the first time. In addition, different videos were filmed on the roads of Lääne-Viru County near Vihula Manor Country Club & SPA.
The world’s largest travel site TripAdvisor announced TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice Awards 2017 in the category of Top 10 Hotels – Estonia winners. Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa was chosen on the 9th place. Traveler’s Choice Award is the highest honor that TripAdvisor gives out. This is the only prize in tourism industry, that is based on the comments and opinion surveys of millions of passengers worldwide over the whole year. This recognition is given to only 1% of the hotels all around the world in TripAdvisor.
On June 25, Vihula Manor, operated by Unique Hotels, will organize the Old & Vintage Car Day which will feature the Spanish car club Antic Car Club de Catalunya with their 1920s and 1930s cars. Cafés and restaurants, bicycle and boat rental and the largest minigolf course of the Baltics will be open. The event is free of charge for everyone.

Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa, which is a part of the Unique Hotels hotel chain, started a new annual event in November last year – the Nordic Week. The event series now had its continuation with the Estonian Week in Denmark which was opened on Wednesday, May 11, by the mayor of Vordingborg, Knud Larsen and the Estonian Minister of Entrepreneurship, Liisa Oviir.

During the Danish Week Gala dinner at Vihula Manor, the manor’s new piano was also introduced. The first to play the piano was the owner of the Estonia Piano Factory and pianist, Indrek Laul who performed Edvard Grieg’s “Piano Concerto in A minor Op. 16” which was first performed in Søllerød, Denmark.
Seventy-six years after the von Schubert family was forced out of Vihula Manor in northern Estonia, Dr. Bernhard von Schubert, grandson of the last von Schubert owner of the estate and president of the von Schubert Family Association, recently paid a historical visit to Vihula Manor together with his spouse, children and grandchildren. The family enjoyed some exciting days in Estonia and at Vihula Manor and was full of praise for the careful restoration of their ancestral home. This year marks the 205th anniversary of the acquisition of Vihula Manor by Alexander von Schubert in 1810. The event is being celebrated by the unveiling of a bust sculpture of Alexander von Schubert in the Manor Park in mid-June and by a permanent exhibition about the von Schubert Family at the estate in the Water Mill later in the year.
